The defining requirement is a hosting agreement with a research organisation that is accredited in Slovakia — this agreement, rather than an ordinary employment offer, anchors the application.
Alongside the hosting agreement you will typically need a relevant advanced qualification, sufficient financial means and accommodation, health insurance, a clean criminal record and a valid travel document. The permit authorises you to carry out the research described in the agreement.
