The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program is an economic immigration program created to help temporary foreign workers and international students who have graduated from a Canadian educational institution make their transition to permanent residence in Canada. Processing Time
The processing time for CEC applications can vary depending on many factors such as how quickly an applicant responds to requests for additional information or documents from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). In most cases, applicants should expect to wait up to six months before receiving a decision from IRCC. However, in some cases, this time can be extended due to backlogs or certain factors related to specific applications.

Applicants must prove their knowledge of one of these languages by providing language proficiency evidence such as an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of at least a Canadian Language Benchmark Level 7 or higher, or a Test d'Evaluation de Français (TEF) score of at least level B2. In addition, applicants must have worked for a period of at least one year in a skilled position while authorized to work in Canada.
Applicants who are recent graduates may also be eligible for the CEC program, provided they can demonstrate that they have acquired language proficiency of at least CLB 7 or higher in either English or French.
You can improve your Express Entry score through the Canadian Experience Class program by:
Demonstrating a minimum one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years prior to applying;
Meeting the required language level in either English or French for each language ability (speaking, reading, writing and listening);
Having the required level of education;
Passing a medical exam; and
Meeting other criteria as specified in the CEC program guide.
