Navigating BC PNP Tech with Expert Guidance
Recent years have witnessed the global tech industry transform itself into an economic powerhouse, driving innovation and creating jobs around the globe. British Columbia stands out as a beacon for tech professionals seeking growth and opportunity; with its vibrant tech ecosystem and bustling startup scene. If you are thinking about joining or are already working in tech, British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program Tech (BC PNP Tech) provides an avenue towards realizing your dreams of permanent residency here in this vibrant province.
BC PNP Tech
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program Tech offers skilled workers in 29 technology occupations an expedited pathway to permanent residency through priority selection and offers tech employers who wish to hire foreign nationals a concierge service for hiring foreign nationals through this program.
To apply under the BC PNP Tech stream, it is first necessary to register through the province’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) whereby you will receive a registration score and placement into an eligibility selection pool.
Targeted Draws
The BC PNP Tech program aims to quickly recruit skilled workers in high demand tech occupations. As such, BC conducts targeted draws so tech-specific candidates have priority access. Furthermore, candidate files are assigned to specialist teams, speeding up processing times.
Every week, subject to processing capacity constraints, BC PNP selects its top scoring SIRS pool registrants and invites them to apply for its program. Successful candidates submit an online application. Upon being accepted into BC PNP they receive their provincial nomination certificate which allows them to then apply with Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada for permanent residency status. As part of its efforts to meet the high demand for talent in the technology sector, BC PNP Tech became permanent in June 2021 as a pilot program. Now fully functional, its stream offers top international tech professionals priority access to permanent residency in BC.
Priority processing is available to applicants holding valid job offers in one of 29 key technology occupations. To qualify, candidates must first register free with BC PNP and be invited to submit an application within 1 business day; their file then becomes assigned to one of our Tech Pilot processing teams within 2 days Compare that to the 2-3 month processing times typically seen with BC PNP applications; processing can happen much more rapidly here. Furthermore, tech employers benefit from having access to timely immigration advice and support.
Are You Looking Forward To BC PNP Registration Online?
Those interested can register online to receive their registration score and entry into a selection pool, however this does not guarantee an invitation nor has an effect on eligibility in other BC PNP categories.
