Can my family come with me to Sweden?

If you hold, or are applying for, a Swedish work permit, EU Blue Card, ICT or other qualifying residence permit, your family can apply to join you. Eligible family normally includes a spouse, registered partner or cohabiting partner and unmarried children under 18. You will need to document the relationship, and in many cases meet a maintenance requirement showing sufficient income and suitable housing. Family members of EU Blue Card holders and of certain highly qualified workers benefit from more generous rules. Applications are made to Migrationsverket.
