Prince Edward Island – Canada’s Smallest Yet Historic Province

Nestled in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Prince Edward Island (PEI) is the smallest province in Canada, comprising the main island and a cluster of nearby islets. Often celebrated as the “Cradle of Confederation,” PEI holds a special place in Canadian history, having hosted the pivotal Charlottetown Conference of 1864, which laid the groundwork for the nation’s creation. Beyond its historical significance, the province is admired for its scenic coastal beauty, fertile agricultural land, and thriving industries, particularly in farming, tourism, and fisheries.
