Minimum requirements for all sub-streams:

Important Stream Specific Requirements

Tech Talent Pathway

• Fulfill the language proficiency standards;
• Must have a permanent, full-time offer from a qualified Saskatchewan employer in a tech-related role, and meet any required licensing conditions;
• Need at least one year of recent work experience in the intended occupation within the last five years — or a minimum of six months if currently employed by a supporting employer.

Employment Offer

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must meet minimum language benchmarks (CLB 4);

• Require a full-time, permanent job offer from a Saskatchewan employer in an eligible occupation, with licensing if needed;

• Must have accumulated a minimum of one year of paid employment experience in the chosen field within the last ten years.

Occupations In-Demand

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must meet the minimum language requirement (CLB 4);

• Completion of at least one year of post-secondary education or training is necessary;

• Must have relevant work experience in a high-demand skilled occupation that aligns with your education or training;

• Professional certification or licensure may be needed, depending on the role.

• Applicants must show proof of settlement funds and have a plan to establish themselves in the province.

Saskatchewan Express Entry

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be in the federal Express Entry pool with a valid Express Entry profile number and Job Seeker Validation Code;

• Need to meet the language criteria;

• Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education or training;

• Require related work experience in a skilled occupation listed as in-demand in Saskatchewan;

• Licensure or certification may be needed for regulated occupations;

• If your work experience is in a trade, a valid trade certification is necessary;

• Proof of sufficient settlement funds and a settlement plan are required.

Saskatchewan Experience Category

Skilled Worker with an Existing Work Permit

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must hold a valid work permit;

• Require a permanent, full-time job offer in an eligible occupation from a Saskatchewan employer;

• Should have been employed with the same employer for a minimum of six months;

• Must meet the minimum language requirement of CLB 4;

• Need a valid SINP Job Approval Letter;

• If applicable, proof of licensure eligibility must be provided.

Semi-Skilled Agriculture Worker with an Existing Work Permit

Eligibility Criteria:

• Job offer is required

• Must have been employed for at least six months under a valid work permit with the same Saskatchewan employer; or

• Should have previously completed a minimum of six months of employment in the province;

• Must receive a permanent, full-time job offer in one of the following NOC roles:

  • NOC 8431 – General Farm Worker

  • NOC 8432 – Nursery and Greenhouse Worker

• Additional requirements specific to this sub-category must also be met.

Health Professionals

Eligibility Criteria:

• Specific criteria vary depending on whether the applicant is a physician, nurse, or other healthcare worker; however, common conditions include:

  • Possessing a valid work permit;

  • Holding a valid SINP Job Approval Letter;

  • Having a permanent, full-time employment offer in Saskatchewan;

  • Meeting further position-specific eligibility requirements.

Hospitality Sector Project

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must hold a valid work permit specifically for roles like Food/Beverage Server (NOC 6453), Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper (NOC 6641), or Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff (NOC 6661);

• Should have worked for a Saskatchewan-approved employer for at least six months;

• Must have a permanent, full-time job offer from an authorized Saskatchewan employer;

• A valid SINP Job Approval Letter is mandatory;

• Applicants must possess at least a high school-level education;

• Must meet the minimum language benchmark of CLB 4.

Long Haul Truck Driver Project

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must have worked with an approved trucking company in Saskatchewan for a minimum of six months using a valid work permit;

• Must hold a valid Saskatchewan Class 1A driver’s license;

• Should have a permanent, full-time employment offer from their current trucking employer;

• Need a valid SINP Job Approval Letter;

• Must fulfill the CLB 4 language requirement.

Students

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must have completed a certificate, diploma, or degree either within Saskatchewan or from another recognized institution;

• Should meet the CLB 4 language standard;

• Must have accumulated at least six months of employment experience in Saskatchewan;

• A valid Post-Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) is necessary;

• Should hold a full-time, permanent job offer related to their field of study from a Saskatchewan employer in an eligible role;

• Must have a SINP Job Approval Letter.

Entrepreneur and Farm Category

Minimum Eligibility Criteria 

• Applicants must possess a legally acquired net worth of at least $500,000 CAD, or $300,000 CAD if applying through the Young Farmer Stream.
• At least 80% of the net worth must be verifiable as legally obtained.

Entrepreneur Sub-Category

• Have at least three years of entrepreneurial experience in the last decade.
• Be ready to invest a minimum of $300,000 CAD in a business located in Regina or Saskatoon, or at least $200,000 CAD in any other community within Saskatchewan.
• Submit a comprehensive Business Establishment Plan (BEP).
• Acquire at least 33% ownership in a Saskatchewan-based business—unless their total investment is $1 million CAD or more.
• Be responsible for generating or maintaining at least two jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents (if the business is situated in Regina or Saskatoon).
• If buying an existing business in Regina or Saskatoon, the current number of Canadian or permanent resident workers must be maintained.
• Applicants must reside in Saskatchewan along with their family.
• A Business Performance Agreement must be signed with the Saskatchewan government post-approval.
• Additional business-specific requirements may also apply.

Farm Owners and Operators Sub-Category

• Demonstrate hands-on experience in farm management and operations.
• Provide a detailed and viable business plan for launching or acquiring a commercial farming operation in Saskatchewan.
• Young Farmer Stream – Additional Conditions
  • Must have at least three years of practical farming experience, including ownership, management, or direct operation.
  • Must show capacity to generate farm income, possibly with the help of a spouse or common-law partner’s employability, factoring in their education and experience.

International Graduate Entrepreneur Category

To qualify, applicants must:

• Be 21 years of age or older,

• Have successfully completed a full-time post-secondary program of at least two years at a recognized institution in Saskatchewan,

• Possess a valid Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) with a minimum validity of two years,

• Have resided in Saskatchewan throughout the duration of their studies,

• Achieve a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 7 or higher.
